The Annual Sex Issue is The Western Gazette’s most iconic themed edition, known for being provocative, playful, inclusive, and bold. Released around Valentine’s Day, the issue explores sex, relationships, intimacy, gender, and identity through a distinctly student lens.

As Senior Photo Editor for Volumes 116, 117, & 118, I led the visual direction of the publications flagship magazine. Thousands of copies were distributed across 45+ high-traffic newsstands, reaching Western University’s 40,000+ student body.

In 2023, we partnered with All Things Film studio and lab. Using the Gazette's former darkroom manager's Rolleiflex, we produced an analog sex issue on medium format film. As the first analog forward issue in the digital era, this marked a historic moment in the Western Gazette's history.
